Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and responsible Heavy Truck Driver to join our logistics and transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty vehicles to transport goods and materials across designated routes.
Requirements
- Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport goods safely and efficiently to assigned destinations
- Inspect vehicle before and after trips to ensure roadworthiness and report any defects
- Load, secure, and offload cargo in compliance with safety standards
- Follow assigned routes, traffic laws, and delivery schedules strictly
- Maintain accurate trip records, delivery logs, and fuel usage reports
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and logistics coordinators during trips
- Ensure proper handling and protection of goods in transit to prevent damage or loss
- Adhere to all company safety policies and road safety regulations
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report major mechanical issues promptly
